How Long Does It Take To Memorize Surah Baqarah?
It’s important to remember that Surah Al-Baqara, the longest Surah of the Quran with 286 verses and 2.5 ajza’a, requires a well-articulated hifz plan stretched over 3-5 months for excellent learning and perfect revision. It’s not advisable to try memorizing it quickly, as it contains many themes, an uncountable number of Tajweed rules to apply, and much more to understand via translation.
For an intensive plan, you can memorize Surah Al-Baqara in 3 months (90 days) by learning 3-4 verses daily. If you prefer to memorize it by page, you will be learning half a page daily. Surah Al-Baqara consists of 52 pages in a 15-lined Mushaf. Therefore, you can memorize half a page daily to complete 52 pages in 104 days (3.5 months).
Try to memorize it juz by Juz. Take Juz 1 for the 1st month, Juz 2 for the 2nd month, and the first half of Juz 3 for the 3rd month. After that, revise the ajza’a together for perfection. Make sure to revise your previous lessons daily in the morning to complete the Surah soon.
